What To Bring

  • Orders-Mobilization/Assignment (7 copies)
  • Line of Duty Memorandums
  • Copy of your Profile (if you have a one)
  • Medical records (if you have any)
  • TA-50 (if you have any) if you turned it in, bring your receipt from CIF.
  • All of your uniforms (ACU’s/Class A’s/Class B’s, PT’s summer/winter etc.)

What Not To Bring

  • Alcohol is prohibited in areas under the Warrior Transition Unit (WTU) Command and Control including all billets soldiers assigned or attached to the WTU.
  • Weapons are prohibited on the WTU Campus.
  • Pets are not permitted in the barracks.
Soldier may bring any additional items as needed

Travel to Fort Eustis WTU

Fort Eustis is located on the peninsula within the city of Newport News. Joint Base Langley-Eustis is 20 miles east of Williamsburg VA and 20 miles west of Hampton VA. on I-64. Directions from Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport, Norfolk International Airport, and points East: Take Interstate 64 West to exit 250A, Fort Eustis Blvd (Route 105) proceed west about 1 mile and you will enter Fort Eustis.  Directions  from I 95 and points West (Richmond): Take Interstate 64 East to exit 250A, Fort Eustis Blvd. (Route 105) proceed west about 1 mile and you will enter Fort Eustis.  If you are traveling south on Hwy 17, continue until you reach Ft Eustis Blvd. This will lead you directly into Ft Eustis. If you are traveling to Langley via air, please make sure that you have someone to meet your flight or make rental car arrangements. There is no shuttle service to the base from either airport.
